Overall, I have nothing to say more for its upsides but perfect. 35$in Tokyo, supreme cost-effectiveness!!! All evaluations must be based on price-service, so it does not have any drawbacks! If you are unsatisfied with it, well I think you should cost more, enjoy a villa or a detached-house. This is Tokyo, the top three cities in the world. 1. The staff is very hospitable and polite. They will solve every problem you have. Even though their English is not very good, basic communication would be OK. And of note, the closing time of reception is 18.00!!! If you arrive there later, you must contact in advance so that they will leave staff for you. Or otherwise, you will not receive any services and will be homeless!! This is not joke. Many foreigners even ask for police because they cannot speak Japanese so they are helpless!! 2. No breakfast, please remember! 3. You must be admirable for service quality especially cleanness. No dirt, bright windows, clean washroom, very perfect!! 4. As for comfort, it is very cozy!!! Remember the hair dryer is in drawers not in bathroom! 5. 3 metros are within 10-minutes walk from here. The nearst is only 4-minutes walk. Very convenient to take you anywhere you wanna go. Believe me because one of stations is Ekoda, a station belongs to JR Line, which reaches every important place in Tokyo and you can also transfer other lines via JR Line. 6. Countless convenient shops really c-o-u-n-t-l-e-s-s!! Foods in there are unbelievable tasty. Numerous restaurants including noodles, barbecue, fried meat, rice-featured dishes, and even bars! Cafes are everywhere and every of them very nice. Flower shops, dental clinics and domestic shops are prevalent and you can buy everything you wanna purchase. A shopping mall you can buy some fruits and vegetables, just near the Ekoda. General-merchandise stores are here, buying towels and something like that. 7. WIFI without any good remarks!

This budget-kind, clean and comfortable, modern apartment-style hotel is recommended also for long stays in the variety of purposes, the hotel facilities are for instance, the front desk counter, vending machines, coin laundry (Japan has comparably many coin laundries everywhere even out of the accommodations) and so on, the room is equipped with your necessities, if you would like several amenities (toothbrush, razor…) these are freely given at the reception. You may have pieces of paper with the detailed guidance and neighborhood map (Japan seldom has street names except main roads hence your signposts can be somethings that are distinctive or having definite names, then the address panels on the electricity poles) in Japanese or English on check-in. The location is the best, less than 5 minutes- walk from the Ekoda train station (Seibu line /blue line, from the South exit, the property is on Senkawa Str) the forth station from the Ikebukuro train station where is famous along with the central areas of Tokyo, with many shopping malls, attractions, the accesses to the other transportations concentrate on the Ikebukuro station (especially known with JR Yamaonote line / green line, the most recognized railway in Tokyo, you can reach both the Shinagawa and Tokyo stations by Yamanote to have bullet trains <the Tokyo station can be also on Marunouchi metro line / red line, much closer> as well as for the Narita airport express <Keisei line /blue line> from/to Nippori or Ueno, the Yamanote stations.) Anyhow, hotel is surrounded by convenience stores, supermarkets, pharmacies, 100- yen (JPY) shops, etc, of course, restaurants, eateries, bars and caffes. Ekoda is quiet residential area, but the downtown vivacity around the station is attractive. I am a Japanese, have returned to the country, the quality of Japanese foods and drinks that have been felt to be improved, in addition to the hygiene status.

While the room wasn't the biggest and wasn't spotless (seems to be the Japanese standard for clean), it was absolutely amazing for the price. The price for me was in the ballpark of hostels/capsule hotel prices but you get your own private room and bathroom! Was ideal for a solo traveler and I would definitely book it again. Additionally, the hotel location exceeded my standards by a lot. I had expected to eat most of my meals in Ikebukuro, but by the end of the day, I was often tired and wanted a meal near the hotel. There were so many options! I could spend another week here and still not run out of places to try. The area was also quiet and had a konbini next door. Amazing!

Larger room than I anticipated for a budget hotel. Large enough to store 2-3 large suitcases. Large wardrobe. In-room are a microwave, an electric stove, a fridge, a cooking pot, an electric kettle, dish soap, a sponge, and a multi-jack phone charger cable. Convenience stores, supermarkets, restaurants are abundant nearby. Subway lines and buses are very closed. Super safe area I would say. If you like sushi and sashimi, you can try many places nearby. A low budget option is a supermarket across from Skoda Station offers quality fish with deep discount after 6-7pm.

The room was so clean. The staff was so helpful for everything. The location is great for those who seek for staying in calm side of the city. The local bus stops and metro lines are close to hotel so it is easy for transportation. Also, there are laundry room, a common room which has tables and vending machines for hot and cold beverages. There are 7/24 open markets around so if you need something. For the trash, there is also a separation room for garbage. Over all, it was a great place during my stay in Tokyo, if I visit again, I'd prefer Flexstay Inn Ekoda.
